Angela Merkel

Speech to US congress, 2009

Germany is united, Europe is united. That is what we have achieved. Now, today, our political generation must prove that it is able to meet the challenges of the 21st century, and that in a sense it is able to tear down today’s walls.

What does that mean? First it means building peace and security, second, achieving prosperity and justice, and third, protecting our planet. Here, too, America and Europe are called upon in a very special way.

Even after the end of the Cold War we are thus faced with the task of tearing down the walls between different concepts of life, in other words the walls in people’s minds that make it difficult time and again to understand one another in this world of ours. This is why the ability to show tolerance is so important. While, for us, our way of life is the best possible way, others do not necessarily feel that way. There are different ways to create peaceful coexistence. Tolerance means showing respect for other people’s history, traditions, religion and cultural identity.

HELLEN KELLER

“Strike Against War”, Speech by Heller Keller, 1916

Strike against all ordinances and laws and institutions that continue the slaughter of peace and the butcheries of war. Strike against war, for without you no battles can be fought. Strike against manufacturing shrapnel and gas bombs and all other tools of murder. Strike against preparedness that means death and misery to millions of human being. Be not dumb, obedient slaves in an army of destruction. Be heroes in an army of construction.

MIRANDA KERR

Okay, Australia, 2010

We depend on the natural world around us to survive. We owe it to ourselves and the future generations to protect our environment. I have been given a voice because of what I do, so if I can get the message across to even a small group of people and change the impact they have on the environment, then why not?

MASH UP

I believe that power is about the ability to create a peaceful coexistence between people’s history, traditions, religions and cultural identities. Along with the community’s awareness of the impact they have on the environment.

Being able to live our lives happily among one another means being tolerant, showing respect and taking a strike against war, for without you, no battles can be fought.

Some people may think this as weak and disrespectful, but we must not be dumb, obedient slaves in an army of destruction, rather, be heroes in an army of construction. We must also keep in mind that we have the power and the right to stand up for this.

We have been given a voice to get the message across and change the predicament we are in. There is so much hate and distrust amongst in this human race. There are walls in people’s minds that make it difficult time and again to understand one another in this world of ours. There are so many means to death and misery to millions of human being. This is a great tragedy.

We depend on the nature around us and the humans around us to survive; yet we treat them like they are disposable and renewable. We owe it to ourselves and the future generations to change how we feel towards one another and to protect the environment. What does that mean? First it means building peace and security, second, achieving prosperity and justice, and third, protecting our planet.

Final for Exp Two

5 FINAL IMAGES FROM MY CRYSIS WARS ENVIRONMENT

Two clients = Nicole Kuepper & Charles Darwin.

The structure to the left is for Charles Darwin, Right, is for Nicole Keupper.

They share a meeting space in between that they access by ramps.

The meeting area is quite large and open. There is a lot of room for movement and creativity. The contrast between the cliffs, mountain and ocean allows them to think clearly and gives them freedom.

The amount of space in "between" could cater for marquees, tents, outdoor experiment, fundraising events etc. The space is very flexible to accommodate for their needs.

My quote was about gaining freedom in the environment and having fun while learning. I do believe these spaces allow for such things to happen. A beautiful environment surrounds them, with interesting neighbours to hopefully push each other to the best of their abilities.
